Ferndale hands PA fastpitch loss

(Port Angeles) -- The Ferndale Eagles came to Port Angeles to take on the Rider Fastpitch team at Dry Creek only to walk away with the win, 11 to 4.

The Eagles' potent offense had 12 hits for the day as they jumped on the Rider pitching and scored 2 quick runs in the 1st and 4 runs in the 2nd to put the game away. The Riders answered back with 3 runs of their own in the 2nd inning, but only one other run in the 7th.

The Riders overall record is 11 & 4. The Riders will play host to Sequim on Monday (5/4).

In action Friday, Sequim beat Port Townsend 17-0, North Mason topped NK 7-1 and Klahowya beat Kingston 12-3.
