PA takes girls golf league title

(Port Angeles) -- PA girls golf won the league title Tuesday by defeating Sequim 101 to 72.
Zoei Zbaraschuk was match medalist for Sequim with 33 points and was match medalist for Sequim with 33 points.
Emily Cook was high for PA with 27 points followed by Tracie DuPuis with 24 and EV Grier with 20 and Madison Baumann had her best score ever with 15 points, as did D'Arcy Depew also with 15 points. PA's number three golfer, Lauren Coventon, was out due to illness and the weather was cold and wet.
PA's record for the year is 6 wins, one loss and one tie. The girls head to sub district playoffs on Monday at Gold Mountain in Bremerton. The top four girls there earn automatic state berths. Tracie DuPuis is hoping to return to state again this year and hoping to take some teammates with her.
