Sequim, PA qualifies golfers to state

(Bremerton) -- Sequim qualified three boys and two girls to the 2 A state golf tournament and Port Angeles will send two girls to state following Olympic League sub-district action on a windy, rainy Gold Mountain golf course in Bremerton Monday.
For the Wolves, Ryan O'Mera led the way with a 76. Chad Quinet and Colby Rude qualified for sate, while Brendon Gillis and Taylor Thorsen will go to district next week in Fort Lewis.
Zoei Zbarasschuk from Sequim shot 86 to lead the girls scoring for 2A and she will go to state with Kim Duce.
PA girls Tracie DuPuis and Ev Grief qualified for state, while Emily Cook and Lauren Coventon will compete next week at district with chances for state.
Scott Kilzer of the Riders finished fourth, just one place away from state. Jordan Negus of the Riders is an alternate to district.
