(Port Angeles) -- Pairings are in place for a myriad of high school sports playoffs.
The brackets have been set for this weekend's West Central District fast pitch tournaments in Tacoma and the Port Angeles Roughriders drew a tough foe in the first round of the 16-team tournament which sends seven on to state.
Port Angeles opens Friday at 2 pm against
Auburn Mountain View, the South Sound sixth seed. A wn gets them into a 6 o'clock game, a loss to an 8 o'clock game against either White River or Mt Rainier.
Sequim opens Friday at 6 against Fife in a loser out game and will meet Olympic League champ North Mason at noon Saturday if they win.
Sequim lost a 2-0 practice game at Chimacum Monday and will host PA for a tuneup tilt Wednesday at 4.

In baseball, Sequim will play Saturday at Yelm against River Ridge at 10 a.m. Sehome meets Selah at 1 and the two winners collide at 4 for a berth in the state meet.

In golf, PA's Emily Cook qualified for state at the 3A WCD event at Fort Lewis Monday. She will join Ev Grier and Tracie DuPuis at state in Richland on the 27th.
