Clallam to ship some inmates to Forks

(Port Angeles) -- Some of the overcrowding at the Clallam County jail in Port Angeles will be alleviated by an agreement signed Tuesday by the County Commissioners. Sheriff Joe Martin say long-term inmates will be shipped to the Forks city jail. The county will pay Forks $45 a day. Martin says he has budgeted for the expense. He says the agreement is necessary, until an expansion and remodel of the Port Angeles facility occurs. Road reconstruction project.
