PUD seeking more water for Carlsborg

(Port Angeles) -- The Clallam County PUD is seeking a new water right to provide water to Carlsborg. But it might be awhile before any more water will be coming. PUD officials made an application earlier this year for the right. Earlier this month local officials received a letter from the state acknowleging the application. That response says it may be some time though before the state starts even thinking about granting a water right for Carlsborg, but the PUD's application will be taken into consideration. The PUD says it needs to find more ways to supply water to the areas around Sequim which continue a rapid population growth.
