Business incubator starts entrepenuer program

September 29th, 2006 - 8:13am

(Port Angeles) -- The Clallam County business incubator is turning to training entrepenuers as a way to enrich the local economy. The "Incubator at the Lincoln Center" kicks off a series of classes aimed at people who might just have the next big idea locally, but could use some help getting into business. Jim Haguewood manages the incubator. He says the incubator is partnering with Peninsula College for classes beginning on Wednesday dealing with things from building a good business plan, to marketing to what it takes to stay in business. Haguewood says those who take the classes may have a shot at getting space in the incubator and an even better shot at making it. Haguewood adds the future of economic development will be coming from grooming those locally with good ideas for the marketplace. For information on the classes, which can also earn college credit through a partnership with Peninsula College, you can call the 565-2060.
