PUD names new general manager

(Port Angeles) -- The Clallam County PUD will have a new general manager starting work next month.
The Board of Commissioners appointed Douglas Nass to run the utility at their Monday meeting.
Nass was one of 4 finalists from a field of 30 applicants for the job.
Interim General Manager Mike McInnes says Nass has over 30 years experience in providing utility services, including power transmission, distribution, generation, water and wastewater.
Nass will come to Port Angeles from a job as the General Manager of the municipal utility in Denison, Iowa.
He was responsible for the overall fiscal and operations of electric, water production and distribution, plus wastewater treatment for the City.
Nass also served on the Missouri River Energy Services Joint Agency Board and was appointed to the city's 2020 Advisory Board and elected to the county's Development Board.
He also has experience with Parsons Power as a Vice President - Utility Program Manager in the United States as well as Saudi Arabia, where he worked for 14 years.
Nass will begin his employment with the PUD on November 13th.
