PA woman arrested after allegedly overdosing self, young daughter

(Port Angeles) -- Port Angeles police have arrested a woman for investigation of attempted murder of her young child.
Police say they got a call early yesterday morning that 41-year-old Rhonda Marchi and her ten-year-old daughter had taken lethal doses of prescription drugs.
The two were rushed to Olympic Medical Center where the elder Marchi remains in the hospital, but now under arrest. Her daughter has been taken to Harborview Medical Center where nursing supervisors refused to give a condition. Her identity is not being released due to her age.
Police say they found a note at Marchi's west Port Angeles home that suggested she had given her daughter the pills.
The case has been forwarded to the county prosecutor.
