OMC hosting open house for surgery services

(Port Angeles) -- Olympic Medical Center's Surgical Services Department invites community members to an open house
Saturday at the Short Stay Unit in Olympic Memorial Hospital.
It's a chance to meet local surgeons and surgical staff, and gain an overview of surgical services offered at
Olympic Medical Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday.
Attendees can experience demonstrations and learn about local surgical specialties -- including orthopedic surgery,
joint replacement technology, and incontinence surgery.
Other presentation topics include colonoscopy and gastroscopy procedures, seed implants for prostate cancer
and pre-menopausal ablation procedures.
The open house is highly recommended for community members over 45 as many may find themselves in need of one
or more of these services in the future.
Learning about the overall surgical process can help reduce the stress and anxiety often associated with surgical
procedures.
The Surgical Services Department will offer a drawing for three $25 gift cards to Seasons Café located near the
east entrance of Olympic Memorial Hospital. Refreshments will be provided for guests.
