PA school board agrees to resurface high school track
March 26th, 2008 - 5:41am
(Port Angeles) -- The Port Angeles School Board agreed this week that
the running track at the high school is in woeful
condition, and needs replacing. Jeremiah Wood, the
high school's Board representative, and a member of the
track team, told members that the track surface has
broken down to the extent that it's unsafe to run on,
and twisting an ankle is a very real scenario.
At the meeting Monday night, the Board accepted a
bid from Atlas Track and Tennis, out of Oregon, at a
cost of just under $200-thousand dollars. Lakeside
Industries of Port Angeles will sub-contract for removal
and installation of blacktop and curtain drains. The
project is expected to done this summer.
