(Port Townsend) -- The Coast Guard evacuated a man clinging to an overturned dinghy in Port Townsend Bay Wednesday.

50-year old James Caetta was found calling for help while clinging to his overturned dinghy.

Coast Guard Group Port Angeles received a call for assistance from the Jefferson County Dispatch Office after the man flipped his boat in Port Townsend Bay.

The Jefferson County Fire Department arrived on scene first and was able to pull the Caetta out of the water.

After checking his vital signs, it was apparent that he was suffering from hypothermia and would need immediate transit to a hospital.

A Coast Guard Dolphin helicopter crew from Air Station Port Angeles hoisted Caetta and transported him to Harborview Medical Center.
