Council approves Green Crow settlement

(Port Angeles) -- The Port Angeles City Council has approved a settlement agreement between the City and Green Crow Properties.
Council authorized the City Manager to approve and sign the final form of the agreement.
Green Crow brought a petition under the Land Use Petition Act seeking review of the City Council's Phase 3 final plat denial.
The petition is pending in Clallam County Superior Court under a stay stipulated to by the parties.
Green Crow and City staff have negotiated a settlement agreement acceptable to both parties.
In November 2007, the City Council approved a motion denying final plat approval for Phase 3 of the Riedel II subdivision.
On December 10, 2007, Green Crow Properties filed a petition in Superior Court seeking review of the City Council's denial of Phase 3.
City staff have negotiated with Green Crow Properties to resolve issues regarding the subdivision.
These include agreement on sidewalk safety; placement of water meters; stormwater drainage and stormwater maintenance facilities; bonding for all improvements, including unconstructed trail improvements.
The Agreement also addresses a rescheduled hearing for final plat approval, and clarifies due dates and distribution of reports, plans, applications.
Upon approval of the agreement by the City Council, both parties will jointly enter into a stipulation for dismissal of the lawsuit.
