Sequim to take up townhouse plan

(Sequim) -- The city of Sequim will hold a public hearing later this month for a plan to build nearly 50 new townhouses in the city.
The city's planning commission has already given the go ahead for the Oak Grove townhouse project.
But the city might need to expand its sewer services to make the project fly.
That's why Sequim's city attorney urged the city council to delay the hearing on the townhouse development this week while the city gets more data on possible sewer changes.
The 48 townhouses would be built on a two and half-acre site along Fifth Avenue between the Boys and Girls club and SARC.
Developers say the townhouses would bring in more affordable housing to Sequim, as each unit will probably cost around 140-thousand dollars.
