Temporary closure for Sadie Creek 4 X 4 trail

July 3rd, 2008 - 2:47pm

(Olympia) -- The state Department of Natural Resources says the the Sadie Creek 4-by-4 Trail will be closed until further notice.

The closure is due to the decking of logs, clearing of stumps and other road-building operations related to a timber harvest.

The trail is located about 8 miles west of Joyce.

Officials say the Sadie Creek Trailhead, Vista & Trail will remain open.

Meantime, the South Fork Hoh Campground -- south of Forks -- will be closed from July 7th to August 1st due to culvert replacement projects on the campground’s access road.

This closure will also restrict access to the South Fork of the Hoh Trail in Olympic National Park.

South Fork Hoh Campground is one of nine DNR campgrounds located on the North Olympic Peninsula.
