PA man accused of child molestation

(Port Angeles) -- Prosecutors have until tomorrow afternoon (Wednesday) to file formal charges against a Port Angeles man
accused of child molestation.
71-year old Leonard Vernon Bowechop made a first appearance in Clallam County Superior Court yesterday.
He was arrested Sunday night by Port Angeles Police for investigation of Second-Degree Child Molestation.
In charging documents, Prosecutors allege that Bowechop inappropriately touched a foster child several times while
hugging the girl before bedtime.
Judge George Wood released Bowechop on his personal recognizance to appear in court Wednesday afternoon
for the filing of criminal information.
Bowechop was ordered to observe a curfew from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., have no contact with the victim, minors or children.
