(Port Angeles) -- The challenger in the race for Sixth District US Congress used words like slavery, extreme and out of touch in attacking the incumbent.
Republican Doug Cloud says it's time for a change and thinks voters should unseat incumbent Democrat Norm Dicks. Dicks has held the position for 16 terms.
Cloud characterized Dicks' representation of the area as part of a broken system that needs to be fixed
But Dicks countered he has served the area well in the past 32-years. He says he's bothered that Cloud has not filed his candidacy with the State Elections Board.
Cloud said he had just recently filed, and the form
is in the mail.
Candidates for state house joined Dicks and Cloud at the forum sponsored by the Clallam County League of Women Voters.
