PDA hires financial consultant

(Port Angeles) -- The Port Angeles Harborworks Public Development Authority has chosen the Port of Port Angeles' finance director to consult on financial issues.
Bill James will serve as a consultant to the group, being paid $125 an hour.
James was tabbed to be the treasurer, but that offer was withdrawn since the PDA's officers must come from its board of directors.
The PDA board also extended the contract with Jim Haguewood to be the interim executive director. He'll stay on until the middle of January, until a permenant executive director is named.
That person is reportedly been chosen, but the PDA has not yet revealed who has been picked to lead the agency.
The port and city of Port Angeles jointly formed the PDA earlier this year in an effort to find ways to develop the Port Angeles Harbor area, most specifically the former Rayonier mill site.
