The coffers were filled with hundreds of listeners donations along with a donation of more than 9-thousand dollars from the

The money raised at the Food-a-Thon will fund more than 80 percent of the annual budget for the Port Angeles Food bank.
For the past 28 years, KONP has allowed the Lion's Club to take over the radio station for the foodathon.
The station suspends most of its regular programming, while Lion's Club member take over the microphones and man telephone stations taking pledges.
Area residents can volunteer to help the Food Bank prepare annual Thanksgiving food baskets beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Port Angeles Food Bank on Valley Street.
