Port nearing end of search for new exec

(Port Angeles) -- The Port of Port Angeles is getting closer to selecting a new executive director. The deadline for applications to be received is this Friday, June 26th.

Port Commissioners will hold a special meeting on July 6th to review applications and discuss criteria and qualifications of the applicants.

Six applications have arrived so far, and Director of Human Resources Holly Harrell expects more before Friday's deadline. Former port executive Bob McChesney left last month to take over the top post at the port of Edmonds.
