Former Sequim mayor dies

(Vancouver, WA) -- Former Sequim mayor Ed Beggs has died.

Beggs passed away June 22nd in the Vancouver, WA area where he had relocated.

Beggs served as mayor of Sequim from 1988 to 1995. He was the last person to serve as an elected mayor in Sequim as the city changed to a manager form of government the year after he left office.

Beggs was 81 years old.
