(Port Angeles) -- A Port Angeles adult family home nurse has been charged in Clallam County Superior Court with six counts of theft in the first degree and one count of money laundering.
Rhonda Goudie was arraigned this week on the charges and pled not guilty.
Prosecutors say Port Angeles Police began an investigation concerning the Olympic RN Homecare adult family home in the 1700 block of W. 11th in early June when a DSHS investigator reported problems to Port Angeles police.
Prosecutors say Goudie stole money on six different occasions totaling more than 20-thousand dollars by taking extra rent payments from an 86-year-old tenant at the home.
The state has also suspended Goudie's license to operate an assisted living facility as a result of the investigation.
Goudie turned herself in to Clallam County Superior Court last week. She has been freed without bail.
Goudie faces trial next month. If convicted she faces 10 years in prison and a possible 20-thousand dollar fine.
