Peace activist coming to Port Angeles

(Port Angeles) -- A noted war protester speaks to a local church this weekend.

Cindy Sheehan will speak at 10:30 Sunday morning at the Olympic Unitarian Universalist Fellowship off Barr Road in Agnew.

Sheehan gained notoriety when she camped and picketed outside former president George W. Bush's Texas home. She started her campaign shortly after her oldest son was killed in the Iraq war.

Church leaders say the event Sunday is open to everyone and it is not intended as a "religious experience".
