WSDOT unveiling plans for highway widening

(Carlsborg) -- The project to widen the last stretch of two-lane Highway 101 between Port Angeles and Sequim moves a step closer tonight.

The state Department of Transportation hosts an open house to talk about the details for the project. The project would run between Shore and Kitchen Dick roads.

Funding for the highway widening has been secured and actual construction could begin in two years.

Tonight's public open house runs from 5-8 pm at Greywolf School in Carlsborg.
