Power still out for many Clallam PUD customers

(Port Angeles) -- It may take the rest of Friday to get power back on for Joyce.
According to the Clallam County PUD, power is still out along Highway 112 from Laird's Corner to Joyce. Officials say it could be back on by late Friday but side roads could take longer.
Meantime, power is back on for most of the west end of the county.
There are still dozens of other PUD customers without power in scattered outages throughout the county. The PUD can't give an estimate yet as to when power might be back on for them.
The power has been out for nearly two days after a big windstorm howled through the north Olympic Peninsula Wednesday.
Forecasters expect more breezy conditions through the middle of next week, but the systems will not be as intense and have larger breaks between them.
