(Port Angeles) -- Two people were hurt early Friday morning after their car hit a power pole.

The crash happened about 2:15 on Highway 101 at Kitchen-Dick Road.

State Patrol Troopers say 43-year-old Daniel Carter of Sequim passed another car. His 1993 BMW left the road, flipped and slammed into a power pole.

Carter suffered head and shoulder injuries. His passenger, 28-year-old Tearra Ristick also of Sequim, was hurt with chest and back injuries.

Troopers say they are still investigating the crash and haven't yet decided if charges or citations will be filed.
