Man charged with Port Angeles rape

(Port Angeles) -- A transient from California has been charged with rape week in Port Angeles.
19-year-old Joshua Torres, who's last known address was in Modesto, California, was charged with second degree rape yesterday in Clallam County Superior Court.
The case began at last Friday afternoon when Port Angeles Police responded to a report that a rape that had occurred in an abandoned building in the 200 block of East Front Street.
The victim, a juvenile female, was taken to Olympic Medical Center.
After interviewing witnesses police found Torres about three hours later in the 200 block of South Peabody Street.
Torres is being held in custody on $250,000.00 bail. His arraignment is scheduled for Friday.
