Clallam prosecutor candidate says campaign signs were stolen

(Port Angeles) -- A candidate for Clallam County prosecutor says someone has stolen his campaign signs.
Democrat Larry Freedman says about nine of his large signs from west of Port Angeles to Sequim were taken over last weekend. He says in one case, a sign in Sequim was replaced by a sign for his opponent Deb Kelly.
But Kelly says she doesn't think it's anyone in her campaing. The incument Republican says she doesn't condone tampering with any signs and instructs those helping with the campaign not to them.
Freedman tells KONP he's not making any accusations and has forwarded what he know to police for an investigation.
Other signs were placed along Highway 101 near Aiport Road, Larid's Corner, and near Drkye Road.
Two of the signs taken down may have been placed on a parcel where Freedman thought he had permission but had mistaken information about the property owner's allowance of political signs. Kelly also was told to remove signs from that area too.
