Port Angeles pair charged in theft of $30K+ cash

(Port Angeles) -- Two Port Angeles residents faces burglary and stolen property charges after thousands of dollars in cash was stolen from a local home.

Twenty-eight-year-old Johnathan Grantham was charged this week with residential burglary, first degree theft, possession of stolen property and unlawful possession of a firearm.

30-year old Carol Bornson has been charged with possession of stolen property in connection with the case.

Bornson was arrested in Kitsap County. She appeared in Clallam County Clallam County Superior court and was released on her own recognizance.

Grantham was arrested in Port Angeles was formally charged yesterday.

The case began on July 4, 2010, when a Port Angeles resident reported their home on East Front Street had been burglarized and property, including over $30,000 in cash, had been stolen.

Meantime, Grantham is also under investigation in connection with a hit and run accident in Kitsap County last week.
