Sheriff's detective gets FBI training

March 23rd, 2012 - 5:49am

(Port Angeles) -- A Clallam County sheriff's detective has completed work with the FBI.

Detective Sergeant Lyman Moores just finished FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.

The academy is a professional course of study for U.S. and international law enforcement leaders that serves to improve the administration of justice in police agencies and to raise law enforcement standards, knowledge, and cooperation worldwide.

Moores was nominated and accepted in January to attend the 10-week course.

The FBI picked up most of the cost for Moores to attend. Sheriff's officials say Moores has returned home and will be resuming his position as the supervisor of the Criminal Investigations Unit.
