Clallam County reaches record number of registered voters

(Port Angeles) -- Voter registration for Clallam County topped 47 thousand late last week.

Auditor Patty Rosand called that a new milestone for the number of registered voters in the county.

Meantime, about 22 percent of the Clallam County ballots are back for the general election.

Through Friday, just under 10-thousand three hundred of the ballots were back at the auditor's office.

Ballots must be postmarked or dropped in an official drop box by November 6th to be valid.
