(Port Angeles) -- Construction is set to begin January 7th to widen the last two-lane section of Highway 101 between Port Angeles and Sequim.
A Kent Company has been awarded the job, handing in the lowest-winning bid of just over 27-million dollars.
Scarsella Brothers is the same company that built the Sequim Bypass more than a decade ago.
This time, the company will change about four miles of two-lane highway into four lanes with a median.
The state awarded the bid last week, which came in almost ten million dollars below estimates.
