PREP BASKETBALL: PA boys lose, Girls win

The Port Angeles girls took a 49-28 win from the Olympic Trojans to open the Olympic League basketball season Friday night.
The Rider boys got off to a rough start, falling behind 29-8 in the first period , and were buried at Olympic, 85-31.
Sequim's boys beat Port Townsend, 54-36 and the Redskins girls topped Sequim, 38-22.
In other league games for boys, Bremerton beat Kingston 55-49 and North K won over North Mason, 50-44. For the girls, Bremerton 42, Kingston 34 and NK beat North Mason 55-20.
COLLEGE - The Peninsula Pirates got off to a slow start in the First Federal Classic Friday, losing to the Blue Angels, 93-83. Seattle Mountaineers beat Shoreline 130-83.Today, the Pirate women host Tacoma at 3, Shoreline meets the Angels at 5 and the Pirate men take on the Mountaineers at 7.
