PREP BASKETBALL: Rider girls win, boys fall

Again it was a fast start for the Rider girls as they zoomed to a 20-8 first period lead on the way to a 55-30 win over North Mason.

PA is 2-0 in league action. Maddy Hinrichs had 24, Macy Walker 15.

Olympic beat Sequim, 57-47, Kingston topped PT 47-45 and Bremerton bounced Klahowya 37-34.

BOYS - North Mason beat Port Angeles on the boards as both ends of the court to get second and third tries at a basket. The Riders led 46-43 with two minutes left, but the Bulldogs Tony Price and Evan Dailey led a late charge to get the win, NM's first win in league play in two years.

Hayden Gunderson led the Riders with 23, 12 in the final period.

Olympic edged Sequim, 49-46, Bremerton beat Klahowya 62-48, Kingston ripped PT 69-35 and Bainbridge topped North K, 74-37.
