December 5th, 2012 - 6:49am

(Port Angeles) -- Clallam County commissioners have set up a committee to pick a new west-end District Court judge.

Current judge Erik Rohrer won election to Superior Court this fall and leaves the District Court position at the end of the year.

Yesterday, county commissioners approved a screening committee to select candidates. That committee is made up of Rohrer, west-end sheriff's deputy Brian King, Forks Mayor Bryon Monohon, district court staffer Sabrina Bees and county Human Resources Director Rich Sill.

Clallam County commissioners will make the final selection.
