(Port Angeles) -- Peninsula College is promoting converting vehicles to run on propane.
The college and Western Washington Clean Cities in Seattle are joining forces to offer training on the conversions at the Port Angeles-based college.
Early next year, PC will offer a new 40-hour propane conversion course aimed at fleet services.
PC automotive instructor Mike Hansen says the week-long course will be taught on the Port Angeles campus by an instructor from I-Com NA located in Michigan.
Peninsula College is the only college in Washington State to offer a one-year certificate in Alternative Fuels. Last year, PC students converted a truck from gasoline to bi-fuel.
The college is now taking registrations for ten spots in the new fleet-conversion program.
