Town hall for planned PA center for fallen-soldiers' families

(Port Angeles) -- A local woman's effort to create a respite facility and programs for families of fallen soldiers gets a public update tonight.
Betsy Reed-Schultz has started the Captain Joseph House Foundation, in memory of her son who was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2011.
Her plan is to turn her former bed and breakfast, The Tudor Inn, into a place where families could visit for a week at a time to help heal and process from similar losses.
Tonight, she'll show the public her latest plans for the building and special programming that will be offered for the families.
Reed-Schultz says the last year and a half have been unbelievable in the amount of support she has gained so quickly for the project.
But Reed-Schultz says there's still a lot more fundraising and help needed.
She also envisions the project to have a positive economic impact for the Port Angeles area.
Tonight's town hall on the Captain Joseph House starts at 6 pm in the gymnasium at Queen of Angeles in Port Angeles.
