Crews still trying to reach possible tsunami debris

FORKS, Wash. (AP) - A team of tsunami debris officials is setting out Thursday for a dock that washed ashore on a remote beach on the Washington coast.
A spokesman for the state Marine Debris Task Force, David Workman, says the team represents federal, state and tribal agencies.
He says they're looking for any potential invasive species. They'll also try to confirm the dock drifted across the Pacific after the March 2011 tsunami in Japan.
The Coast Guard spotted the dock Tuesday on a wilderness beach of the Olympic National Park. Stormy weather contributed to the trouble in reaching it.
It appears to be similar to a Japanese dock that washed ashore last June at Newport, Ore. It was cut up and removed.
