Clallam officially appoints new judge
January 8th, 2013 - 5:59am
(Port Angeles) -- Clallam County officially has a new west-end district court judge.
Clallam County Commissioners yesterday unanimously approved a resolution appointing John Doherty as judge of District Court Two,
serving Forks and the West end of the county.
Doherty fills the term of Eric Rohrer, who was recently elected to Superior Court.
Commissioners had already selected Doherty for the post, but hadn't yet approved the resolution.
During the selection, Forks mayor Bryan Monohon was appointed as a pro-tem county commissioner. He replaced Commissioner Mike Doherty for the purpose of the vote. Mike Doherty recused himself from the vote
because John Doherty is his brother.
