Texas fugitive arrested for local robbery

(Port Angeles) -- Local police have arrested a fugitive wanted in Texas and in connection with a knife-point robbery in Port Angeles.
Early yesterday morning, Port Angeles Police Department and Sequim Police Department Detectives, Clallam County Sheriff's Deputies, and agents from US Customs and Border Patrol Protection served a search warrant at a residence on the 3200 block of Sequim Bay Road.
Investigators were looking for items associated with an armed robbery of a car in the Port Angeles Wendy's parking lot that happened December 29.
They were also looking for 58-year-old Garland Lavell Seals, last known to be living in Sequim.
Seals had a Texas Department of Corrections felony warrant for a parole violation associated with an armed robbery in Harris County, Texas.
Seals was not at the residence. But about 11:15 yesterday morning, he was stopped in downtown Sequim. That's where cops took him into custody.
Investigators are conducting more interviews and search warrants.
Seals was booked into the Clallam County Jail on the Texas arrest warrant and on one count of Robbery in the 1st Degree.
