Clallam PUD commissioner hospitalized after crash

(Port Angeles) -- Clallam County PUD commission president Hugh Haffner was taken to the hospital after he crashed his truck yesterday afternoon about 4:30 east of Sequim.

State Patrol Troopers say Haffner apparently drove off the roadway, over an embankment, and into a woodpile.

They're not sure what caused the accident and drugs and alcohol were not involved.

Haffner was not wearing a seatbelt.

He was transported to Olympic Medical Center.
