Rider girls win league title

Portr Angeles went to work on offene early and downed Port Townsend, 51-36 Tuesday to nail down the Olympic League title with one game to play.

The Riders return to the throne they held at the end of the 2011/12 season, Kingston won last year.

The Riders take a 14-4 record to Olympic Friday, then will play in the league's number one bertrh in the West Central District Feb. 14 in Tacoma.

Maddie Hinrichs had 16, Shayla Northern 13 and Krysta Johnson added 12 as the Riders led 16-8, then 25-16 at the half. A 17-9 third period put the game away.
