Man mistakenly let out of jail, back behind bars

February 6th, 2013 - 11:51am

(Port Angeles) -- A man mistakenly released from the Clallam County jail, is back in custody.

28-year-old Matthew McDaniel turned himself in to the Clallam County sheriff's department this morning.

An arrest warrant was issued for him yesterday.

Matthew McDaniel was arrested Sunday night after an alleged altercation with a sheriff's deputy at Railroad Bridge Park near Sequim.

But an apparent mix up with the prosecutors office lead to McDaniel being let out of the jail Monday afternoon by mistake.

McDaniel faces third degree assault of a law officer.

Judge Brooke Taylor also set bail at ten thousand dollars yesterday.
