February 7th, 2013 - 6:56am
(Port Townsend) -- Investigators are looking for about $100,000 in bronze ship parts were stolen from the Port Townsend Foundry.
The theft happened sometime between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning.
Cops say the robbers spray painted the windows black so no one could see the theft taking place.
They made entry into the foundry's machine shop by cutting a hole in a chain-link fence.
The crooks made off with mostly large, custom-made pieces. The foundry's owner believes the metal may be headed for sale on the scrap market.
