More than 10 thousand Sequim ballots to be counted tonight

February 12th, 2013 - 11:58am

(Port Angeles) -- On election day, nearly 48 percent of the ballots are back for the Sequim School District's special levies.

Clallam County Auditor Patty Rosand says 10,200 of the 21,500 ballots sent out in the Sequim district are back. She says they plan to count all of the ballots in the office tonight and release results shortly after eight tonight.

Portions of the district are in Jefferson County as well.

Sequim is seeking approval of two levies. One is a renewal of a four-year maintenance and operations levy. A second, one-year levy would pay for buses.
