(Port Angeles) -- A 26-year old Port Angeles woman now plans to plead
guilty to a charge of criminal assistance, in the strangulation death of developmentally disabled woman.
Kendall Heuther was slated to go to trial this week on two charges of first-degree rendering criminal assistance, and two counts of tampering with a witness.
Kevin Bradfield has pleaded guilty to strangling Pimentel in October of 2011. Bradfield was Heuther's boyfriend at the time. The two were also friends of Pimentel.
Heuther was accused of helping Bradfield hide Pimentel's remains in a wooded area near the Hood Canal Bridge in East Jefferson County.
Six weeks after Heuther's arrest, prosecutors added two counts of witness tampering. Investigators say two of Heuther's acquaintances told them she had asked them to lie about seeing Pimentel alive after her disappearance.
