Port Angeles public works director leaving

March 6th, 2013 - 6:01am

(Port Angeles) -- Port Angeles public works and utilities director Glenn Cutler is separating from the city.

Cutler tells KONP, he will leave his position at the city sometime this summer.

He says he is not taking a new position and plans to stay in the area.

Cutler calls his current position a second career he entered into after retiring from the US Navy.

Cutler says he is proud of the accomplishments the city has seen during his tenure, including major improvements to downtown and the waterfront, new 8th Street Bridges, and continued outside funding for the city to pay for new infrastructure. He's also guided the city through it's largest-ever public works project, the Combined Sewer Overflow project now underway.

Cutler came to the city as the public works director in June of 1999.
