Vechicle shears off power pole

(Sequim) -- A car sheared off a power pole yesterday west of Sequim.
But there were no serious injuries. However, the accident caused power and traffic problems for late yesterday afternoon along Woodcock Road.
Fire District Three spokesman Patrick Young says a vehicle hit a power pole on Woodcock west of Serpentine about 3:40 yesterday afternoon, shearing off the pole and tipping the pole and power lines into Woodcock Road.
The 69 year old driver was not injured in the collision and refused treatment or transportation.
The Clallam County Sheriff's Department is investigating the cause.
Woodcock road was shutdown in both directions as a safety precaution because the power lines were still energized.
