Chase ends in crash in Sequim

April 2nd, 2013 - 11:13am

(Sequim) -- A police chase ended in a crash last night in Sequim.

About 6:30, a Clallam County Sheriff's deputy tried to pull over a car driven by a man wanted by Port Angeles Police near Sequim.

A sheriff's spokesman says 43-year-old Daniel Davis tried to speed away from the deputy after he turned on his lights and siren. A chase ensued with Davis allegedly running traffic lights and travelling at a high rate of speed through Sequim. He eventually crashed his truck into a gas pump at Kettle's Gas Station along west Washington.

Davis was not injured and taken to the jail on eluding, driving while license suspended and the original warrant for possession of stolen property.
