Former PA city councilmember recovering after being struck by car

(Port Angeles) -- A longtime Port Angeles civic activist and former city councilmember is recovering after being hit by a car this week.
93-year-old Vivian Ross was taken to Olympic Medical Center after she was hit crossing Race Street Wednesday night.
Ross was crossing near Civic Field, when she was struck by a car driven by an unidentified 69-year old man.
Investigators say drugs or alcohol were not a factor in the collision and their investigation continues.
Ross is reportedly in satisfactory condition now at the hospital.
